• Authentication: Verify your identity and keep your account secure
• AI Generation: Generate titles, descriptions, source metadata, captions, and publishing text from your inputs and media context
• Publishing: Publish content to connected platforms such as X and Instagram when you direct FastClip to do so
• Subscription Management: Track your usage and manage your plan
• Service Improvement: Understand usage patterns to improve the app, fix bugs, improve reliability, and enhance features

We use trusted third-party services to power specific features:

• Google and Better Auth: Account sign-in, authentication, and session management
• OpenAI/Anthropic: AI-powered title, description, caption, source metadata, and publishing-text generation
• Deepgram: Speech-to-text transcription, word timing, captions, diarization, and language detection
• AWS/S3/Lambda: Secure cloud storage and media processing for uploaded source files, generated clips, thumbnails, and render jobs
• Stripe: Checkout, subscriptions, billing portal, payment status, tax, fraud, and related customer or subscription identifiers
• PostHog: Product analytics so we can measure aggregate usage and improve stability and UX. We send event names and properties; we do not use PostHog session replay on the landing page
• Youform: Waitlist form collection and landing-page attribution fields
• X and Instagram: Connected account authentication and publishing actions that you request
• Apple/TestFlight: Beta distribution, tester access, crash/session metrics, and tester feedback for TestFlight builds
• Cloudflare: Hosting, CDN, DNS, security, and deployment infrastructure for FastClip websites
• Expo: Development and runtime tooling used to build and run the app

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data:

• Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure
• Media files are stored using cloud object storage and access controls
• We use industry-standard security practices
• Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only
• User workspace records are scoped to their owners through authenticated API access

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services:

• Account Data: Retained while your account exists or as needed for security, billing, support, legal, accounting, or abuse-prevention purposes
• Sources, Projects, and Videos: Stored until you delete them, delete your account, or they are no longer needed to provide the service
• Transcripts and Generated Metadata: Retained with your clips and releases so the product can display, edit, republish, and audit the work you created
• Connected Account Data: Retained while the connection is active or as needed to support publishing history, security, and disconnection flows

You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. When you delete your account, we may retain limited account, usage, billing, security, and abuse-prevention history as required to comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce our terms, prevent free-tier or payment abuse, and maintain accurate records. This retained data is not used for marketing or shared with third parties except as described in this policy.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share data only:

• With service providers who help us operate the app (as listed above)
• With connected platforms when you direct FastClip to authenticate, connect accounts, or publish content
• To comply with legal obligations or valid legal requests
• To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice to you)

We may analyze usage patterns, app performance data, and aggregated user behavior to improve our Service, fix bugs, and enhance features. This analysis is conducted internally and such data is never shared with, sold to, or disclosed to third parties for marketing, advertising, or any other external purpose.

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal information
• Update: Correct or update your account information
• Delete: Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Disconnect Platforms: Remove connected X or Instagram accounts where supported in the app
• Analytics and Cookies: Use browser or device controls to limit cookies, storage, and analytics where available

FastClip is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using FastClip, you consent to this transfer.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
